Education is crucial to the Mission as Baba believes that the root of all engulfing problems can be traced to "poverty of education or processed inform ation." Education transforms perspectives and triggers latent potentials and creativity within individuals enabling each to aspire and think beyond the village confines. Above all, education empowers and changes mental setups, making people believe in themselves and their ambitions.

Mass Literacy Programme : Today, the mass literacy program which began from scratch, has assumed impressive proportions.

LDLM has 206 Pre-Primary Child Education Centres educating more than 8000 sweet children of God, in rural and urban areas. A teacher-student ratio of 1: 35 ensures that each child gets individual attention.

At Lutumagao, Guwahati, Assam, LDLM runs a school for 160 tribal children.

Play Way Method of Education is adopted to attract and trigger the infinite

Extracurricular activities like yoga, music, painting, gymnastics and meditation, have been introduced to ensure that every child grows up to be a well-balanced individual

The Ethnic Cultural and Spiritual heritage of Mother India is fostered through story-telling, Bratachari (traditional songs and dances) and tabla lessons. Through exposure to these traditions, it is hoped that the children will become responsible citizens who will do their country proud.

This moulding work takes place in the humble yet rich classrooms of nature, under shady trees or by riversides where learning inevitably becomes an enriching and enjoyable experience. In this way, the mission also saves on structural costs and maintenance thereby channelling funds to areas of greater immediate needs.

The Mission has 4 Street and Slum Schools at Rashbehari, Kalighat and Garcha 1 and 2. The street children are bubbling with enthusiasm to learn and be good humans. They are 235 children who can give you more than you can ever give them.
