Baba, what path do you want us to follow?

I want you to follow your path. Life is your own journey. How can I tell you which path is yours until I see you in person and you see me in person? The path opens when you are face to face with a living master. You have to feel the presence, the love, and freedom the master embodies. You have to feel the touch of the other world in his or her presence. Then you glimpse the one whose instruction you will be able to enshrine in your heart. It is not the physical dimension alone that you are seeking to resolve. You are seeking the bridge between you and the supra physical, the transcendental, within you.

I can give you some hints with which to begin or deepen your search for Reality. I can offer inspiration to strengthen you and guide you closer to the essence. But you must ask yourself the deepest questions. "Who am I?" "Why am I here on this planet?" "Where am I going, now and after death?" "What must I do to be true to the depths of my being?"

Don't be happy with my answer or anyone else's answer to these questions. They are borrowed and mean nothing to you. You carry within you the ocean of wisdom. You are a micro-universe. You reflect and contain the entire universe in your own soul. The infinite intelligence that is consciousness is within you. Your answers have to come from within, from your own being. Then alone will you glimpse the Unknowable.

Before you fall asleep, take time to just watch your mind and ask yourself those questions. Formulate any other questions that are pressing on your heart. Don't settle for answers. Answers are mere words, words of your conditioned memory. Watch your mind with intense faith in the infinite intelligence of your being. Open your heart to receive the light of the Divine, so that the deep mysteries of the Universe can begin to unfold from within you. Open yourself to the secrets of your Self. You are not searching for words or for answers. Your search is experiential, it is for an intuitive flowering.

Put your whole emotion into action. Let your life be at stake. Know that ready-made answers belong to your ego. They are as false as your ego. They will never satisfy you in the real sense. No enlightened master's word will quench your thirst. You can teach others with their knowledge, but you will always remain thirsty in your own being.

Unreservedly offer yourself to this one search. Let all actions spring from your inner quest to be one with the Divine. Don't cling to the past. Don't surrender to the illusion of tomorrow. Tomorrow will be a fresh today. Live in the present, with your heart open to love. Forgive. Give. Empty yourself so that the Universe can fill you with Love. Trust in the incomprehensible abundance of grace to provide all that you need in life. Surrender to grace. Allow it to lead you through even the most difficult of circumstances to its higher, sweeter, purposes and to fulfillment.
